ANZSEE Ecological Economics Conference Prizes

Conference Prizes

The following awards are made each ANZSEE conference:

ANZSEE Prize for the best student presentation or first time presenter ($250)

To be eligible for the this prize, the presenter must be:

1. enrolled as an under-graduate or Masters student at a recognized international university; or
2. enrolled as a PHD student at a recognized international university but not have nominated for the ANZSEE PhD prize at this conference; or
3. presenting at an ANZSEE conference for the first time.

ANZSEE PhD Prize ($500)

To be eligible for the ANZSEE PhD prize the delegate must:

1. be currently or recently enrolled in a PhD program at a recognized university in the ANZSEE region;
2. nominate to be considered, and submit a paper based substantially on their PhD research before the conference
3. present this paper at the conference
4. have submitted their PhD in the last eighteen months or declare that they expect to submit their PhD in the next eighteen months.

This prize will be awarded for PHD research that makes the greatest contribution to the theory or application of ecological economics. It will be judged 60% on the submitted paper and 40% on the presentation. Students who have nominated to be considered for the ANZSEE PhD Prize at a previous conference are not eligible. Papers are required to be submitted at least one month before the conference, or as agreed by the convenor of the PHD Prize committee.
